Town of Carolina Beach Fire Department

As part of our prevention program, and in accordance with North Carolina law, the Town of Carolina Beach Fire Department maintains an inspection program for all occupied hotels, motels, businesses and residences (common areas) with 3 units or more.  Hotels, motels and condominiums will be inspected on a yearly basis.  Businesses will be inspected once every two years.   New businesses and residences will be inspected prior to occupancy.  The inspection fee is $45.00.

Working with owners, property managers and tenants our inspectors implement cost effective strategies to insure Fire Prevention and Life Safety.  For inspection purposes the department divides the Town of Carolina Beach into three major areas:

Zone A         Businesses South of Harper Ave

Zone B         Businesses North of Harper Ave

Residential:  Hotels, Motels and Residences with 3 or more units

                   regardless of location.

Captain R. Campbell is responsible for the Zone B Inspection Program

Firefighter R. Gottesman is responsible for the Residential Inspection Program and assists in Zones A & B
