Message from the Chief: Welcome to the Town of Carolina Beach Fire Department website. We are located at 9 Dow Road, Carolina Beach. This website is designed to provide information about our department and its programs.
The department was chartered in 1925, since that time the department has faced many challenges and evolved into a professional organization. We deliver a full range of services including fire suppression programs designed to protect and prevent the loss of life and property in our service area and beyond. This is especially challenging during the tourist season when our town of 4,000 residents can expand to over 40,000 on a July 4th weekend. Although we have traditionally focused on fire suppression, we have implemented many proactive programs to educate our citizens about prevention methods and ways of living a safer life.
Mission Statement
We are in the business of public service. Our goal is to prevent harm to our citizens who live, work or visit in our community and prevent harm to our environment.

We respond to over 400 calls annually while maintaining an (ISO) insurance rating of five. We are currently working hard to improve our rating, which is now being governed by the NC Department of Insurance and is called the NC Response Rating System.
